Photographer Bio:

Andy Beckemeyer grew up in Colorado where only pine trees and sagebrush grow, and went to college in Chicago, where only skyscrapers grow. Living in season-obsessed Japan for two years opened his eyes to a fantastic world of colors, which he also finds all around him in Portland, Oregon. With some careful experimentation he has developed a unique post-production process and a set of custom-designed camera lenses capable of rendering familiar scenes as something closer to impressionist or cubist paintings than standard photographs, or of liberating these brilliant colors from their ordinary forms altogether and rearranging them into their own entirely unique patterns and styles.
